New Family Addition

Well we finally broke down and got another dog. The kids are so excited to have a playmate. Her name is Oreo and she is a boxer mix. She is just over a year old and is the most mellow dog I know for being that young. She loves to play with the kids but she also is VERY lazy. She also has found that she needs to sleep with Keith and I in bed at night. So imagine, Keith, me, both the boys (sometimes) and the dog. So glad we have a king size bed. But overall she is a good girl.

Ganon's Birthday

So for Ganon's Birthday we got to go to a Diamondbacks game thanks to Hopekids. The kids had a great time and Ganon of course got the royal treatment for being the birthday boy. When we first got there we were told to take him to guest services where they would give him a pin. After getting his pin we then were told to take him to Cold Stone Creamery and that he would receive a free ice cream. He also chose to get his birthday present from the game so he picked out a collectors ball that he wanted. We now have to buy him a box and a shelf so that he can put it up. It was a great family night.

Long overdue

Wow it's been a long time since I have blogged. A lot has happened. The kids have been busy playing softball/t-ball. Our season started in March and we have been going non stop. Kenzie has been pitching great this season and is doing awesome. Aurora tired out for minors and made it. So she is having a ball learning. She is following in her sisters footsteps and pitching also. The boys are having a great time playing T-ball. I have been busy working on the board for the league so needless to say, we have something going on every night.
We finally got some good news on Aurora. Three months ago she FINALLY got a diagnose of MADA. Its a rare muscle disease that is only in 264 adults in the US. Since there are no case studies of this disease on children, her neurologist has had to go through hoops and the board of directors to get her treatment plan approved. She will be starting her treatments on May 1st. The nice thing about this treatment is that she will be taking a dietary supplement, the down fall is she will have to have her blood drawn once a month while taking it. We are excited to finally get somewhere and hopefully be able to help her control her pain. Trystan now is being seen by the same neurologist and he is undergoing testing to see if he has the MADA also. We will keep everyone posted on what we find out.

Hopekids Holiday Party

We had the chance to go to the Hopekids Holiday party this year. This is our 3rd year going and every year the kids have a blast. Santa always makes a special visit to meet all the wonderful kids and spends time with them. Along with great food, they have a ton of activities including pony rides, face painting, goofy pics and much much more.

My little handsome man

Well last Saturday, the kids and I took a trip to the zoo with a good friend of mine and her family. We had so much fun. It had been a while since we had been to the zoo and they had changed so much. I wish Keith and Ganon would have gone with us, but Keith was helping my dad build a deck and Ganon wanted to stay and help daddy and grandpa. We spent the day walking around and seeing all the new stuff that the zoo has done. Can't wait to go back when both Keith and Ganon both can come.
