Snow Snow Snow

Well today we woke up to finding out that we had a sever winter storm warning in effect for today thru Friday. This morning we had about 3 inches of snow and now that it is 12:51 AM on Thursday morning, we have had about 10 inches so far and it's still coming down. The wind is not helping the situation much. Our winds are between 20 and 30 mph. So we have drifting snow along with ice. It has been fun watching the kids play in it. Trystan went out to the front yard and the snow was up to his knees. He was having a ball in it. I will post pictures later once I get them uploaded. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Happy New Year to you all!

Mt. Elden Hike

Well last Sunday we took the kids and went on a hike. We hiked up Mt. Elden 2.5 miles and 600 feet in eleveation. We hiked the Mt. Elden look out trail, but only got half way up before the Tyrstan was getting tired. I was really suprised to see how well him and Ganon both did for their first time. We all had a great time. We have decided that we are going to hike a diffrent trail each Sunday. It will be some nice fmaily time. Can't wait to be able to get all the way to the top of Mt. Elden.

Snowy Morning

Well we woke up to 6 inches of snow on the ground. The kids were so excited to be able to go out and play in it. Kenzie and Aurora had to shovel the sidewalk (which is now one of their chores). Then they decided to start building a snowman. They were able to get two of the snow balls that they needed to make the snowman before they got cold and came in. Will have to post pics of the completed snowman later...Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. I know we are.

Thanksgiving 2010

Well we had a nice Thanksgiving. My parents came up from Mesa and we had some friends over too. I am truly grateful for our family and friends. We had an nice turkey dinner with all the fixings. We sat around and played the Wii and Farkle. Hope everyone else had a great day.

Winter Wonderland

Well it's been a while since I have been on to post anything. But we are all doing good. We have been really busy. Kenzie finished up her volleyball season at school. The boys have started pre school. They are loving it. I can't believe that Ganon will be going into kindergarten next year. Both girls have been busy with piano lessons and The Flagstaff Children's Chorale group. They will be performing the day after Thanksgiving for the tree lighting ceremony at Little America Hotel along with performing at the tree lighting ceremony for downtown Flagstaff. Keith has been busy with work, while I have managed to get my scrapbook store opened. I am currently offering classes to help others capture their creativity. We are loving the COLD weather. Our highs have been between the high 30's to the high 40's and today we got our first SNOW fall. Let me tell ya, the kids were jumping for joy. This is the first time that the kids and I have seen snow fall. We are loving it here in Flagstaff. There is so much for us to do. The kids are excited about going hiking, fishing, camping, and even hunting. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Okay so it's been a while since I have been on. I have been crazy busy with life and kids. So here is a little update on whats been going on. Both the girls are in the Flagstaff Choral Group. They will be singing at the tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 3. In the mean time Kenzie made the Volleyball team. We recently went to the Route 66 days Car show and really enjoyed looking at all sorts of classic and newer cars. Amongst us walking around, we ran into Ty & Tracey, Kris and Bill. you'll have to check out some of the pics. Ganon and Trystan were really excited they got to see "Bumblebee" from the movie Transformers. The car actually talked.

We had the chance to have a wonderful BBQ with our friends Ty and Tracey and their wonderful family and friends. We really enjoyed ourselves. The kids had a blast and keep asking me when we are going to get together again. It's great to have friends that have kids around the same age as ours and it helps that they all get along. We really enjoyed their company and of course Ty did a wonderful job with all the cooking. We were so full by the end of the night from all the GREAT food. Thanks Ty & Tracey.

Trip to Elko, NV

The kids and I have been in Elko, NV for the past couple of weeks. We are having a great time and loving it up here. We took a road trip over to SLC. We visited Temple Square. The kids had a blast seeing all the different water falls, statues and buildings around the temple. We also got to go into the Tabernacle and listen to Clay Christensen play the organ. It was beautiful. After spending a couple hours there, we went to Liberty Park with my sister in law and niece to have a picnic and let the kids play in the water and on the playground. On the way home we stopped at a rest area that was along the Salt Flats. Trystan's first reaction to seeing them was "I want to build a snowman". They made salt balls and were throwing them at each other. Trystan insisted that he bring his salt ball home. I ended up having salt all over the back seat of the car by the time we got home. We are leaving on Monday to head back home. :( Needless to say we are going to be bummed. We love it here.
